Verity Companion All endings, every choice
Exact dialogue text, trust thresholds, and jumpscare timers for every confirmed Verity Companion ending.
Why this page exists
The how to unlock endings page lists the five confirmed endings at a high level. This is the deep dive: every dialogue line, every variable threshold, and every mid-run switch point you need to trigger each outcome on Roblox. If you only have time for one read before a fresh save, work through this page top to bottom, then jump back to the getting started guide for the lobby walkthrough.
The five ending families
Verity Companion currently ships with five ending families. Each is gated by the same three factors:
- Companion choice — Empath (Seren), Analyst (Tess), Skeptic (Vex), Guardian (Brick), or Trickster (Loki).
- Dialogue branch — a specific line in Room 5 that locks the route.
- Variable threshold — the trust variable must sit above 70, the skeptic variable must sit above 60, or the jumpscare timer must expire cleanly.
The Tier List hub explains which companion hits each threshold fastest, and the Codes hub lists every active code that can soften the threshold for free-to-play players.
Ending 1 — Pacifist (Seren route)
Exact dialogue in Room 5: select the soft-spoken line that reads “Let’s step back from this together.”
Trust threshold: keep trust ≥ 70 from Room 1 onward.
Jumpscare threshold: Seren keeps the timer at 90 seconds, so a 60-second survival window is the lowest tax.
Recommended pairing: pair Seren with the how to survive jumpscares build so you never miss the timer.
What unlocks after: the Lantern skin, a permanent +5 Ink bonus on first clears, and a soft-route ending credit.
Ending 2 — Analyst (Tess route)
Exact dialogue in Room 5: select the cold-logic line that reads “The pattern repeats. We have enough data.”
Trust threshold: keep trust ≥ 50.
Skeptic threshold: irrelevant.
Puzzle timer bonus: Tess surfaces an extra clue in every puzzle room, which shortens the timer by 30 to 45 seconds.
Recommended pairing: pair Tess with the how to complete sidequests guide to stack the puzzle bonus with the repeatable Ink reward.
What unlocks after: the cold-logic ending credit, the Cold variant of the Lantern skin, and a codex entry that triggers a follow-up monologue in subsequent runs.
Ending 3 — Skeptic (Vex route)
Exact dialogue in Room 5: select the dismissive line that reads “That’s a stock answer. Try again.”
Trust threshold: irrelevant.
Skeptic threshold: keep skeptic ≥ 60 and probe every optional object in Room 2 and Room 4.
Mid-run switch: do NOT switch companions after Room 2 if you want the canonical Vex credit. A mid-run swap routes you to the Trickster ending instead.
Recommended pairing: pair Vex with the how to find secret rooms guide to map every optional object.
What unlocks after: the Skeptic ending credit, the Mirror fragment codex entry, and a hidden-room narrative that wraps the side-quests.
Ending 4 — Guardian (Brick route)
Exact dialogue in Room 5: select the defender line that reads “I’ll hold the line. Run.”
Trust threshold: keep trust ≥ 50.
Brick exclusive: Brick heals your save slot once if a jumpscare lands, but the heal costs you access to two hidden rooms.
Trade-off: the defender route locks you out of the optional Room 4 echo puzzle and the Room 5 mirror check.
Recommended pairing: pair Brick with a fresh save so you bank the heal for the harder jumpscare room.
What unlocks after: the defender ending credit, the sacrifice variant of the pacifist ending on subsequent runs, and a Brick-only dialogue branch in Room 3.
Ending 5 — Trickster (Loki route)
Exact dialogue in Room 5: select the wildcard line that reads “Flip a coin. I like those odds.” Mid-run switch: swap personalities mid-run after Room 2 — the AI remembers the swap and rewires the Room 5 dialogue. Bonus jumpscare: after the wildcard line, a 60-second jumpscare timer triggers. Loki is the only companion who can survive it cleanly. Trade-off: the wildcard route forfeits the pacifist and Skeptic endings. Recommended pairing: pair Loki with Vex for Room 2 and Room 4 (Vex probes optional objects faster) and swap to Loki for the bonus jumpscare. What unlocks after: the wildcard ending credit, the Bonus skin, and a codex entry that re-routes the credits scene for subsequent runs.
Mid-run switch timing
You can swap companions mid-run only at the lobby desk after Room 2. The swap is permanent for the rest of the run and resets the trust variable for the new personality. The how to use the AI companion guide documents the exact UI flow.
Why mid-run swap matters:
- It unlocks routes that no single companion can reach.
- It costs you the trust bonus on the swapped-in companion.
- It is the only way to clear the Trickster ending if you started with Seren or Vex.
Save management for the route
Plan your save slots before you start the deep grind:
- Save slot 1 — Pacifist route with Seren. Reset before each clear.
- Save slot 2 — Analyst route with Tess. Keep the puzzle bonus codex entries.
- Save slot 3 — Skeptic route with Vex. Save after Room 4 so you can retry Room 5 cheaply.
- Save slot 4 — Guardian route with Brick. Reserve the heal for Room 4.
- Save slot 5 — Trickster route. Redeem the DARKROOM code for an extra slot if needed.
Redeem the DARKROOM code on the Codes hub before you start so you have five free save slots instead of three.
YouTube timestamps to study
The embedded video walks through every ending with on-screen captions. Use these timestamps as a study aid alongside the dialogue text above:
- 0:00 — 2:30: Pacifist route with Seren.
- 2:30 — 5:00: Analyst route with Tess, including the cold-logic Room 5 pick.
- 5:00 — 8:00: Skeptic route with Vex, including the probe order in Rooms 2 and 4.
- 8:00 — 10:30: Guardian route with Brick, including the Room 3 protective line.
- 10:30 — 13:00: Trickster route with Loki, including the mid-run swap and the bonus jumpscare timer.
The video is the closest thing to an in-game tutorial. Pair it with the Tier List hub so you can pick the right companion before each clear.
Cross-reference with the AI map
The Scripts hub includes the full dialogue decision map. Use it as a study aid to understand why each ending requires a specific branch, and to memorise the variable thresholds before your next run.
What this wiki does not unlock
Verity Companion does not have a secret sixth ending. Any guide claiming otherwise is reading fake patch notes. The Updates hub is the only source of truth — if a new ending ships, we add it here first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Which ending should I aim for first?
The pacifist ending with Empath (Seren) is the easiest and the safest for new Roblox players. The getting started guide walks you through it.
Do I need a mid-run swap for every ending?
No — only the Trickster ending requires a mid-run swap after Room 2. The how to use the AI companion guide explains the swap UI.
What is the trust variable exactly?
It tracks how often you let the companion finish a monologue without skipping. High trust unlocks the pacifist ending. The how to unlock endings guide explains it.
Can a single companion reach every ending?
No. Each companion has at least one ending it cannot reach. Pair the run with the Tier List hub to plan the swaps ahead of time.
Does the jumpscare timer change after a Roblox patch?
Yes — the timer is rebalanced after every major update. The Updates hub logs every refresh so you can adjust your route.
