How to read these notes

The patch notes page is the chronological log of every Roblox patch that affected Verity Companion. Each entry includes the patch date, the official notes, the wiki team’s verification, and a list of guides that needed a refresh.

Recent patches

2026-08-21 — Room 5 dialogue refresh

• Updated the Trickster bonus-room timer from 70 to 60 seconds. Re-tested the how to survive jumpscares guide.
• Added a new dialogue branch for Empath in Room 4. Re-tested the how to unlock endings pacifist route.
• The DARKROOM code now grants an extra save slot, not an extra hint. Updated the Codes hub entry.

2026-08-14 — Companion balance pass

• Empath (Seren) trust gain +5. Skeptic (Vex) curiosity gain +5. Analyst (Tess) puzzle hint duration extended to 45 seconds. Trickster (Loki) risk tax reduced by 1.
• The Tier List hub refreshed within 24 hours. Seren moved to S-tier across every track.

2026-08-07 — New repeatable sidequest

• Added a second repeatable sidequest with a 25-minute cooldown. Updated the how to complete sidequests guide.
• Added the PUZZLEPIECE code. Live on the Codes hub.

2026-07-31 — Hidden room expansion

• Added a fifth hidden room behind the office chair. Re-tested the how to find secret rooms guide.
• Guardian (Brick) was reworked so the heal now triggers on a 60-second cooldown, not per jumpscare.

2026-07-24 — Mobile UI polish

• Adjusted the redeem overlay so the Twitter bird icon is no longer hidden by notched displays on mobile. Re-tested the how to redeem codes guide.

2026-07-17 — Initial codes launch

• The first batch of Verity Companion codes shipped. The Codes hub launched at the same time.

How patches affect leaderboard validity

When a patch changes companion timers, dialogue thresholds, or room layouts, the wiki team marks the affected leaderboard entries as ‘pending re-verify’. Runners have 72 hours to re-submit with updated footage. If no re-submission arrives, the entry is archived. The speedrun leaderboards page shows the verification status for every active entry. The most common patch-triggered invalidations are:

• Timer changes to Trickster bonus-room or Empath trust gain.
• New dialogue branches that alter the optimal route.
• Hidden room relocations that change the full clear path.

Check the Updates hub after every patch to see if your leaderboard entry is affected.

Why this hub exists

Because Verity Companion is a live Roblox experience, the routes documented in the Guides hub and the rankings on the Tier List hub change after every patch. The wiki re-tests within 48 hours and posts the change here. Every entry includes a timestamp and a link to the relevant guide.

What we do not cover

• Unverified leaks. If a patch has not shipped on Roblox, we do not list it.
• Server-side experiments that the studio has not announced.
• Account-specific bugs that cannot be reproduced on a fresh save.

Safety reminders

The studio never asks for your password. If a patch announcement includes a link that requires login, ignore it and report the URL. The Official Links hub is the only safe place to start.
